Week 5 Power Rankings

We are officially a month into the season. Can’t believe it right? The emotions are on such a pendulum from week to week, but as each passing week goes by, the intensity raises. Four weeks is a good sample size for what teams are early in the season. As we know, things can change on a dime, but identities (mostly) are there. Injuries are taking place. Depth is being tested. Coaches seats are getting hot. Let’s see where each team matches up…

Week 3 Power Rankings!

Believe it or not, we are almost at the end of September! Week 3 is coming full steam ahead, and we have a few teams that are turning our heads a bit. We also have others that are floundering…One thing to remember though. It is VERY, VERY early. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Last season, the 49ers were on the verge of collapsing before righting the ship in November. I remember in 2021 when the Bucs weren’t gonna make the playoffs in December before they got everything together and won a title. Things change in a flash in the NFL. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t perk our ears up and pat some teams on the back here. Let’s see what we got with Week 3 knocking on the door.

Week 3 Power Rankings

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (-) - Status quo.

  2. Buffalo Bills (+6) - Extremely impressive first two weeks.

  3. Houston Texans (+2) - Taking care of business.

  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+5) - Revenge in Detroit.

  5. San Francisco 49ers (-4) - Haven’t beaten the Vines in Minnesota since ‘92.

  6. Detroit Lions (-3) - Jared Goff needs to step it up.

  7. New Orleans Saints (+8) - Klint Kubiak for President.

  8. Pittsburgh Steelers (+4) - Its never pretty.

  9. Los Angeles Chargers (+9) - The Harbaugh effect.

  10. Minnesota Vikings (+12) - Eyebrow raising win against SF.

  11. Arizona Cardinals (+14) - It wasn’t the win that impressed; it was how they won. Maybe the close loss in Buffalo wasn’t a fluke.

  12. Seattle Seahawks (+7) - Winning the games on their schedule.

  13. Dallas Cowboys (-9) - Embarrassing home loss.

  14. New York Jets (-) - I need a dominant performance.

  15. Green Bay Packers (+2) - Guts.

  16. Atlanta Falcons (+4) - Benchmark win in Philly

  17. Philadelphia Eagles (-7) - Difficult to watch. Truly.

  18. Las Vegas Raiders (+12) - Some Minshew Moxxy late in Baltimore.

  19. Baltimore Ravens (-13) - Big woof.

  20. Miami Dolphins (-9) - Without Tua its game over.

  21. New England Patriots (+2) - Fighting hard.

  22. Cincinnati Bengals (-1) - too good to get brownie points to losing to KC by 1.

  23. Cleveland Browns (+4) - More that the team they played lost the game then Cleveland won.

  24. Chicago Bears (-) - The offense has been piss poor.

  25. Jacksonville Jaguars (-12) - Blow it up. Offensive gameplan is atrocious.

  26. Washington Commanders (+4) - They won a game! Who cares if its against the Giants.

  27. Indianapolis Colts (-11) - The Anthony Richardson we saw Sunday was the one I fear may be the guy we usually get.

  28. Los Angeles Rams (-21) - Injuries already seeping in. Embarrassed by Arizona. This could get ugly quick.

  29. Tennessee Titans (-3) - Will Levis has solely prevented them from being 2-0.

  30. Denver Broncos (-2) - The Bo Nix we saw at Auburn is coming out. Funny enough he’s wearing orange again.

  31. New York Giants (+1) - The rise is because of the team below them. On to 2025.

  32. Carolina Panthers (-1) - Good lord. Is Bryce Young the biggest bust since JaMarcus Russell?
